Topic Books
Highland Children’s Books hold a large range of books to support teachers as they cover history and science topics with their students. Orders can be placed by contacting us directly or ordering through the PECOS system. Schools can use their commission from Book Sales towards the purchase of these books.
Often there are fiction and non fiction books relating to topic areas. Contact Jill for suggestions for topic books.
Teachers wanting to browse the books can arrange for books to be delivered, or visit the book office by appointment.
Beyond Topic Books
One concern schools often raise is that while selected topics are covered quite thoroughly in class, there are large gaps in information between the topics that students might enjoy learning about. One solution is to ensure school libraries contain books beyond the topic areas. Highland Children’s Books keeps a large range of non fiction books that could add more dimensions to your library.
